Individual speakers are restricted to 3 minutes and are asked not to repeat points that have been made previously. It is helpful if potential contributors can make themselves known to the Town Clerk before the meeting so that the session can be programmed effectively.

Public participation is not part of the formal meeting of the Council however a note will be made of matters raised and recorded at the start of the minutes of the meeting.

The Agenda for the meeting is given below. Please contact the Town Council Office if you would like a copy of any of the reports.

In 2014 it was agreed that the bank along the Canal and the hill on Britten’s Field be left to grow, without cutting / strimming, throughout the late spring / summer to encourage wildlife; with the exception of a mown pathway that traversed the Britten’s Field hill. As well as encouraging small animals and insects and natural plant life, the risk of health and safety issues connected to the gradient of the slope and ground conditions are reduced.

The meeting is asked to consider if the 2014 “let it grow” policy should be continued.

  1. Request to use the Recreation Ground for activities for Young People

A request has been received to use the Recreation Ground, as in previous years, for activities for young people ion afternoons in July and August.
