Community Resilience Plan

Ilminster Town Council in consultation with other agencies and members of the Ilminster Community are looking to establish a Community Resilience Plan in the event of flooding and other incidents that might occur in the Ilminster Area. As part of this plan a Community Resilience Coordinator as well as Flood Wardens will need to be Identified. These people will be there to help the local community to deal with the issues that arise when flooding is imminently expected or actually happening.
Information will be provided on the evening that will allow members of the community be more aware of what they can do to help. The council is looking at installing a number of Resilience Stores that will assist people in a time of need. Information will also be provided to allow people to develop their own personal “flood action plans”.
There are only a limited number of places going to be available as we are still being mindful of covid precautions and so you are asked to reserve a place at this event by emailing or ringing the council offices.
