(5 Day Notice)
A358 Ilminster Road, Taunton
Parishes of West Hatch, Hatch Beauchamp, Bickenall and Ashill
(Temporary 10mph Speed Limit)

Somerset County Council, in exercise of its powers under section 14(2) of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984 as amended and after giving notice to the Chief Officer of Police, has
issued a Notice, the effect of which is to introduce a temporary 10mph Speed Limit on the
length of road listed in the Schedule to this Notice.

This Notice will come into operation on the 24th day of July 2022 between 03:00 hours and
12:00 hours to enable Milestone Infrastructure to carry out urgent Surface dressing and Lining
works. This Notice will remain in force for a maximum of 5 days. The restrictions will only
apply when indicated by traffic signs.

Schedule
(Temporary 10mph Speed Limit)
A358 Ilminster Road, Taunton From a point 200 metres south east of the junction
with Stewley Lane in a north westerly direction for a
distance of 5540 metres.

Statement of reasons for making the Order
a) because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road
b) because of the likelihood of danger to the public, or of serious damage to the road,
which is not attributable to such works
