Administration Officer Vacancy
Full time (37 hours per week), Permanent, Salary range £19,312 to £20,493
Benefits include access to the Local Government pension scheme. and 24 days annual leave plus bank holidays
Ilminster Town Council is a small, proactive Town Council that works with local residents and businesses to provide services which include recreation areas, a local nature reserve and a cemetery.
This role requires a person who can undertake Administration and Finance processes. The applicant will need to be able to deal with people calmly, without judgement, firmly and politely. The successful candidate will undertake a variety of tasks including responding to enquiries from the public, dealing with invitations to the Mayor, updating the Town Council’s website, providing support, which includes Town Council meetings and organising Town Council events, competitions, and civic functions. Knowledge of Finance, purchase orders and payments and experience in minute taking would be an advantage. The role will suit a person who likes working in a small team whilst having a busy and varied workload.
