Scarecrow Competition 2017 – UPDATE

NOW ACCEPTING ENTRIES UP TO 23 MAY 2017, we are hoping to reach record numbers with our scarecrows this year so we have decided to extend the closing date for entries. We are encouraging residents and businesses of Ilminster to take part in this wonderful spectacle which is part of the Ilminster Midsummer Experience.  The Ilminster Scarecrow Competition will take place from 8th to 11th June 2017.  The Town Council has entered into the spirit by making scarecrow Andy to advertise the competition and have put him in the window of the Council Chamber. Scarecrow Competition 2017

This year Ilminster Town Council are again holding a Scarecrow Competition which all residents of Ilminster and local businesses are welcome to enter. Scarecrows should be displayed where they can be seen easily and on view from midday Thursday 08th June until 8.00pm on Sunday 11th June 2016. The Scarecrows will be judged during this period. The winners will be informed by 19th June 2017 and there will be prizes to the value of £30, £20 and £15 for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places.
